Web Design
Sit Conmigo
Concept Client Project
Project Objective
Design a website to showcase the new chair designs of Sit Conmigo and allow customers to start pre-ordering them.
The Problem
Yolanda Lopez, founder and CEO of Sit Conmigo, a furniture company that specializes in chairs produced sustainably and ethically, feels it’s the right time to launch her website, and she needs someone to design it.
The Solution
Create a simple, one-page website to encourage customers to pre-order Sit Conmigo’s new chairs and introduce them to the Sit Conmigo brand.
Design, Planning, & Research
Yolanda had specific parameters for her site, including mobile, tablet, and desktop design comps, color and type styles that are inspired by the Site Conmigo logo and mission, a large header (CTA) with images and text encouraging customers to pre-order, a pre-order section that includes chair photos, product names, and links to pre-order the new chairs, an about section with information about the company and its mission. The section should also include a photo, a contact section in the footer with links to social media, an email address and phone number, and navigation with critical sections.
I researched other sustainable and fair-trade furniture companies, Yolanda’s largest competitors, big box stores such as Target and Ikea, and websites that Yolanda finds particularly inspiring. I looked for ways to differentiate Yolanda and help her work stand out while clearly communicating her company’s values and mission.
Colors
Sit Conmigo’s chairs are colorful, and the company’s mission focuses on sustainability, fair trade, and labor. To engage Sit Conmigo’s target audience, I selected a simple palette with colors that evoke the business’s personality and mission while also highlighting the stylishness of the product.
Typography
Yolanda wanted to convey a sense of professionalism and modernity, so I selected the Merriweather and Open Sans typefaces.

Software
I utilized Adobe XD to create low-fidelity and hi-fidelity mockups, as well as final mobile, desktop, and mobile design comps. I also utilized Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to manage assets.
