About Me

At the core of my professional journey is a deep-rooted love for helping people find information. This passion has guided my career, from my early days as a librarian to my current role as a website director.
Throughout my decades-long career, I have remained steadfast in my commitment to creating applications, platforms, and websites that cater to the diverse informational needs of users from the both public and non-profit sectors. Whether it’s leading the implementation of new systems and processes, designing user interfaces in Figma, or managing a CMS platform, I bring to the table a wealth of experience, tenacity, and a solution-focused mentality. My true passion lies in leveraging technology to enhance information accessibility.
I have come to web design through a nontraditional path. I started my professional life as a librarian, building and maintaining websites for public libraries. I have spent the last 15 years sharpening my design, UX, coding, and project management skills, taking every opportunity to learn new technologies and expand my toolbox, which includes AI, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, WordPress, Drupal, Figma, Sketch, Git/Github, VS Studio Code, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe XD, and Google Analytics.
Though the tech bug has bitten me, I am still a librarian at heart. I believe in access, equity, intellectual freedom, and privacy, and working to advance the public good. Using technology to uphold these values is central to who I am as a professional. And, of course, I also love to read and discuss books.
